On Saturday 9th September, BOND Bar in Melbourne’s CBD was flung with full force back in time to the swinging 60s as friends and family celebrated Elle Roseby’s 50th Birthday. With a distinct theme for the occasion, Elle, much loved fashion businesswoman and General Manager of the popular Supré clothing brand, transported her guests back to Studio 54 and pulled out all the stops to make this celebration a night to remember.
An Accurate, Appropriate and Amusing Ambience
With its swanky LED-lit passageways, impressive bar setup and high-end club atmosphere, BOND Bar was the perfect selection for this classy event. As you walked in, you were faced with a spectacular paparazzi wall that documented the guests and, most importantly, their costumes. This was set up and run by the photographer for the evening, Anna Taylor, who took some fantastic shots — many of which you’ll see throughout this blog. You can take a look at Anna’s other work here.
Let Elle Entertain You
Elle sure does know how to throw a party! With premier entertainment company, Rutherford Entertainment, putting on a show for guests throughout the evening, theatricality was a-plenty. Party-goers enjoyed performances from dancers, singers and (quite possibly the highlight of the evening) drag queens, who roamed the venue and interacted with attendees. This really was the icing on the cake for Elle’s full-throttle celebration.
Sumptuous Delights
The delicious party food for this golden evening of old-school merriment was provided by the ever-faithful Om Nom Catering service. With scrumptious bites to keep guests going throughout the night, the evening’s celebrations were a feast for all the senses.
